I’m Andy, a trainee advanced clinical practitioner for Arno & North Coast PCN. I am currently nearing completion of my studies in MSc Advanced Clinical Practice. Prior to joining the PCN in 2021, I worked in various roles within the NHS for 18 years. As part of my role, I conduct face to face clinics for acute presentations at practices throughout the PCN, work as part of the acute home visiting team and as one of the BLS instructors, deliver BLS training throughout the network.
As an independent prescriber, my role incorporates treating patients with acute presentations, prescribing treatment, arranging further investigations and if required, organising referrals for specialist care. Keen to continually develop clinical knowledge across all fields of healthcare, I also hold an Advanced Life Support Qualification accredited by the Resuscitation Council UK.
